Thanks Robert for your bright insights about this. I was thrilled weeks ago when I heard about it... without deeping the point I was as "afraid" or "anxious" as people could be and as "enthousiastic" because, I would like to test it... and as a the solo-preneur I'm today impatient to delegate some stuff... but with consciousness and awareness...
Thanks to make this "new buzz world" a little bit more realistic and conforting me in my decision not to dig into this subject right now...
It’s natural to feel both excited and uneasy about something like this - I've felt it myself with every major tech shift and i work in the tech field :)
I've been a solopreneur for most of my professional life and let me tell you this: your instincts are crucial. Follow them!
Every tool promises ease, but not all actually deliver it. And when you're the one making all the decisions, every new piece of tech needs to be worth the time and energy you invest in learning it.
You don’t need to rush it. AI isn’t going anywhere, and time will separate the truly useful innovations from the distractions.
Stay curious, stay aware, and don’t feel pressured to adopt something before it proves its worth. When the right tools emerge, you’ll know.
That’s how real progress happens - not by chasing hype, but by making intentional choices.
PS: Send me a DM with what you do and I'll try to help.
Thanks for your precious wiseness. That's exactly what I've done with chatGPT , took me 6 months to adopt it (and other new tech, such as social media years ago, or even internet in the late '90 or word in early 90'...) and now it's one of my favorite partner. I love tech, but I'm not a very-early-adopter... I'm not in a rush now so I don't want to take your time. I'll be happy to come back to you if I need to.
Mostly adhoc for now. Cleaning up my writing, debugging sql queries, writing vba code for me. My company is entirely on prem legacy software. So no opportunity to tap into APIs for workflow automation. Making a small cloud migration soon for M365, so that will open up a few doors.
Good framework and mental modal to view things from. Thanks for the post. Often overwhelmed by all the noise and countless new tools and startups I see.

love! thanks for keeping it real
Thanks! People need to understand what AI can and can’t do to make the most of it.
How do you use it in your daily workflow?

Sounds like you're squeezing what you can out of AI, even with legacy constraints.
Once you get M365 up and running, those automation doors really start opening.
Power Automate, Copilot, and a bit of AI-assisted scripting can save quite a few hours.

There’s an overwhelming amount of noise out there. You don’t have to keep up with everything.
The right tools will prove themselves over time, and when they do, you’ll recognize them - not because of the hype, but because they work.
Thanks for the subscription, comment and the restack :)
